This amp is fitted with a horrible spring reverb system......Horrible sounding to me, anyway. This amp belongs to a friend of mine, and he was complaining of a slightly distorted sound when used at fairly high volume level at gigs. I said that I would look it over , and maybe send it for repairs if it's anything other than perhaps a loose connection. What I found was that one of the springs in the reverb unit broke, causing some unwanted noise at higher output level. I re-soldered the spring, and things seem to be fine, now. (Until a next time....)
My question is: what would you suggest I do to take the unit totally out of the pre-amp circuit?
Your comments will be appreciated.
Regards,
Nic

I would put in a new 3 spring tank, do the Metzger reverb mod and then he would have a fine sounding reverb.
