Finally here in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia
the blossoms are blooming again. Such a pleasure
and a relief from the cold winter now past.
I do this song on 10 string Leavitt and will indicate
the tuning set up on the tablature which hereunder.
I discovered that it was possible to emulate the
Floyd Cramer piano style in places throughout the
tune.
My two Leavitt Courses are still available and
please email me for information ot check my
ClicTab site noted below.

I checked it out and as usual you did a fine job Roy. I like the "slip key" Cramer licks. Nice backing guitar also. Checked out your tuning. Am I correct in seeing two added bass notes below the Leavitt? |

Hi Bill,
On the above arrangement I use A and E on the bottom.
I get the same range as a standard guitar with that
set-up. Good for transcribing standard notation.
Sometimes change to G on the bottom instead of the E.
I always look for the arrangements you put up here.
You have such a unique approach.
All the best

Beautiful as always! Can you explain how you did those little trills? Thanks. |

Hi Mike and thank you.
The "trill" is a triplet..one beat.
Referring to my Tab above look for a triad where
I have placed an "X" beside the bottom string.
You start with the thumb and follow with index and
middle fingers. Drop the thumb pick back down on
the bottom string while the top two ring and sustain.
It's a simple example of thumb pick blocking I guess.
All the best
Roy
