That was on the guitar when I acquired it, I guess Ricky D went through this a few years back.

That's how you know it was really "ME" that worked on the Steel; everybody knows I can't spel.....ha
Here's me playing a gig with Redd Volkaert after I finished the work. He loved the sound of this one as so did I. To find a Pro II Custom with rope inlay is quite a find....this is a monter steel with a monster sound.

That's Way cool Dave....glad to hear that. I did fix the inharent finger problems that the later models did have.....and so the lower arm is pushing on a fresh spot on the top piece of the fingers now...and will now last for another 20 or so years on this bad Boy.
Also; that is a awesome price you have on it....I believe the original owner Mike Taylor; had a lot more into it than that....
Joe.....A-freakin-men....man....

Hi David,
On this model do you have to take the crossbar off to change the copedent or will the bellcranks come off without taking off the crossbar?

The cross shafts on this guitar are hexagon, bell cranks go completely around the shaft and are secured by a set screw. The cross shafts usually need to come out to change set-up, but, in many cases you can pull the screws out of the mounts and get enough wiggle room that the bellcranks will slide on and off without disassembly.

Hey Guys,
Well I'm the lucky one to get the Sho Bud. I'm particularly happy about this since I will no longer exclusively be a "No Peddler" (as much as I love playing my Gibson Grande Console). I've been wanting to play pedal steel for a long time and it looks like Dave's going to be sending me a fine guitar.
I think what tipped it for me was watching Ben Keith on that last Neil Young DVD that and there's a cool steel player down in New Orleans, Dave Easley, that I just got turned on to. I figured it was about time.
Anyway, see you guys on the forum!
