OK, peeps, we have our very first mystery jazz RESONATOR player all teed-up and ready for your listening and guessing pleasure. I don't normally launch a new one so soon after the last one, but this time I couldn't wait. You'll want to hear this guy. (Oops, did I say 'guy'?)

Well, true to form, we play the game, we reveal the answer, and everybody just walks away with nary a post. This time (for a change) even a bunch of people got it right. Care to tell us how you figured it out? Maybe you own this recording? Maybe you've memorized everything this player has ever recorded? Maybe you just googled it up after discerning the song title? Maybe you took a wild-haired guess. But pee-pul, this is supposed to be an interactive game. If y'all enjoyed this and would like more of these in the future, I'm gonna need a little more reinforcement than this. It's just human nature, folks. Otherwise I gotta go practice...

I'm primarily a resonator dude. I've also spent time around Stacy and observed his style.
He's known for playing complex chords in open G tuning with a combination of unusual (for bluegrass anyways) slants and string pulls. It's amazing to observe in person.
Stacy is well known for his early work as the "Archduke of the Dobro" with Tony Trishka (Bela Fleck's mentor). He currently teaches and plays music with a host of eclectic bands including NY's "AfroSemitic Experience" playing resonator, lapsteel and fiddle.
A great guy who's busted through a bunch of perceived limitations with the instrument.
