Trying my first photo post. This is a small version of a graphic rendering of an emmons.. Its all done on the computer with lots of editing and touchup work. It's a sideline of mine, I also have many Guitars, some horns, strings etc. Just thought some of you artistic types might get a kick out of them.

I usually print them on acid free art paper, and most look good at about 8X10 or 11X14 sizes. Just an old ex photographer having fun.

I hope this is the right place to post this, my apologies if not.

Congratulations for a fantabulous job with the sample 'rendering' you've elected to share with us here on the FORUM.

Great work! How many hours did it take you to manipulate and produce this work of art?

HOW MANY YEARS did it take before you could even consider such an undertaking?

Thanks for the compliments guys........

This one actually started out as a photograph, then after a lot of work with the blending and cloning features, some airbrush type touch up work and eye strain, This one turned out pretty well. Depending on my mood, some will turn out more like pencil sketches, or neon signs, etc.

I've been gradually increasing my skills at this for about 10 years Ray, sorta like learning to play I guess learn a little here and there and a few tricks to help the technique and voila.

I'll post a few more as I get them done. Thanks for looking.

I think there great, I've always said PSGs are like the hot rod of music. There compilcated and have a natural sense of mystery about them. When one looks at a photogragh as this it brings on a sense of curiosity do to all the parts and little details.

This is truly Art no question. I shoot landscape photography and I have plenty of Yosimite National Park and some from Red Rock. I love it..... and yes it's a lot of time and effort. But when you finish a piece as this it makes it all worth the trouble...

Keep em coming....Chuck

Great job Robert, a family member of mine (passed now) was a professional photographer, school pictures, etc, She was in it when you printed sepia(sp)and colored them by hand, I still have a couple of them. I seldom do any graphics work without thinking how she would be amazed at what can be done with the tools we have now.

Thanks for the reply guys........Austin, I don't know the year if you are referring to the steel. All I have now is a lap steel, and struggling with that. But I think you stole my name, considering my age heheh. Saw you playin on a video, looking good my friend. Speakin of hot rods, I'll post a car pic in an off topic area, if I can figure out which one to use.

Some liked the first post, so I'll put up another for your enjoyment. I wonder why they don't have Steel Guitar Trading Cards, with all the stats on the back. Hmmmmm maybe package them with bubble gum. Put them in old shoe boxes and retire in a few years.

Been working on a new photo sketch. I used to do a lot of old cars and hood ornaments this way. I think it looks pretty cool for instruments as well.

It looks as though quite a few of you have downloaded a couple of BIAB files that I put up while ago. Hope you are getting good use from them and that they are not too amatuerish.

I do still have some of Bar and Pick Totes available, (see my other post). I currently have a black, red, blue and yellow.

Enjoy the pic and the files, and as I learn more about BIAB hopefully I'll be able to help with some questions that some of you may have.

Feel free to contact me via PM or email if you like.

Robert,
Here is a cartoon drawing my Nephew did of my 61 Econoline pickup. It's sitting beside the shop, waiting on yet another restoration, been in the family since 1972...BF

Bill that is a great drawing. Your Nephew has a load of talent. Reminds me of some of my old automobile stuff.
