I'm trying to determine a fair price for a six string postwar horseshoe pickup in very good condition. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

I'm no expert on the subject, but during the past year I've seen one or two in the $350.00 price range.
These appeared to be out of the old metal body Ricks. |

Ray,
That price seems about right for the post war shoes. The Rick bass players want them to restore their shoes.
Hard to understand since they can be remagnetized. |

That's 'cause they're bass players...

Richard,
I think you've hit that one on the head.
But I beg the question. Why would a bass player want to spend so much money on a couple of magnets?

Because since the 80's?, the bass's have been fitted with fake Horseshoes.
They are just chromed plastic with a mud magnet coil.
They will probably burn in a lake of fire for eternity, but I dont blame them for wanting the real thing.
