Here's my own "educated guesses...( )

Scott, I'd say your 2C1612 is a '73, probably made in late November or maybe December. Your 2C956 isn't much older, and probably was built around June or July of the same year.

Harvey, your 2C4914 should be a '75, and I'd guess it was made in the fall, probably around September or October.

Reece will be along soon...to grade me!

First of all may I apologize for my delayed response. The holidays put me behind in most everything.

Scott H....2C956 shows to be a white double 12 which left the factory with 8 & 4. The original destination was not entered into record. This guitar was born on May 21st 1973.

2C1612 also shows to be white double 12 and it too left the factory with 8 & 4. Its original destination was CMI distributors in Chicago. This guitar was born on November 30th 1973.

Harvey R....I see your guitar is also a white double 12 which left the factory with 8 & 4. It too was originally shipped to CMI. Records do not indicate a specific born on date, however they do show it as having been produced in October 1975.

We appreciate both of you for being part of what we consider to be the MSA family.

Looking back to find the date of Harvey's guitar that I bought yesterday, I see it was listed on the same post as the other 2 that me and my son have.
I guess I am just partial for the old Classic MSA's .They last forever .

You got that right Scott,An MSA player will WEAR out long BEFORE his guitar will.My 74 MSA D-10 CLASSIC is in a lot better shape than I am. Don't know about the new ones[can't afford one] Just my opinion, but those old ones were built ROCK SOLID. DYKBC.
