If I replace a 500k volume pot with a 250k one....what difference will it make?
I have been learning a lot about electronics lately but I haven't got my head around this one as yet. |

Slightly less output, slightly less treble, and a slightly faster "feel" as tp how the volume comes up. However, if the pickups are very lightly wound, the effects will be minimal. |

Thanks Donny,
I tried it anyway...it didnt make much difference that I could hear. I thought there was a problem with the original 500k one as it increased in volume to about 1/2 way and then didnt get any louder as I turned it up.
with the 250k there isnt much volume increase to 1/2 way but the volume increases up from there. Its a log pot...the original says type AB |

Try running your amp volume higher. I always run mine wide open, even when just playing in the house. Doing this gives you the best use of the log taper. |
