I am restoring some 70 and 80s Peavey amps and they use a 6 Pin DIN plug for their foot pedals.
I'm having a heck of a time finding both male and female pins in this config.
This is like a MIDI DIN but has five pins in a semi circle and one in the middle. 1/2 outer diameter.
Anyone have a good source for older DINs like these. I emailed Peavey but have not heard back in 6 days.
Thanks for any help. |

I used one of those pedals to control or delay/echo/chorus unit back when we were playing live. I'll have to look, but I thought I bought the female jack from radio shack, I'll try to see if I saved the # with the parts list for the relay board I built. |

Thanks Bob and Bill.
I've done about all the "search" types I know. There are several Elec. Supply stores on line but none that carry this particular DIN.
I could (and Can) re-due both the female and male plugs so that they match but its a "bear" to do the female DINS in the amp as they are so small and I'm so "big fingered"! Ha!
Went to two Radio Shacks but did not look to see if they had them on line - so that's next.
Thanks again for the responce. Gary |

Ken Fox to the rescue! Thanks Ken
That is exactly the Female plug I needed - ordered three - . . . . any ideas on the matching male plug?
Did not see them on that site.
Thanks again, Gary |

Mouser, Radio Shack and even eBay might be a source |

Just heard back from Peavey.
They say the footpedal is obsolete (like 30 years ). But it is possible to get one by special order.
They say to call 877-732-8391 toll free in US or 601-483-5365 long distance.
That's good to know and just one more example of how Harvey, Mike and the "gang" take care of their customers.
Thanks Peavey - I can now contine restoring these great amps. |
