I absolutely love my new Rains SD-10. I have also purchased a Peavey Nashville 112, and I'm very happy with that. Now......I have noticed quite a few forum members who do not use the onboard reverb in their amps and have opted for outboard reverb and delay. Any suggestions?? Also, does anybody use the new Boss Space Echo?? |

A lot of people still use the ol' Boss RV-3. I have one RV-3 and two Behringer Dr 400s (RV-3 copies).
There are a lot of options out there. You got to shop around until you find what appeals to you. You might totally hate an RV-3, think they are just alright or absolutely love it!!!

Man! I love my Space Echo! Haven't used it for a while. Gotta drag it out soon. But it's an original one, not a Boss. |

I use the onboard reverb in my silverface Twin.
Some people like the Danelectro Dan-Echo delay pedal. I have one I got about 10 years ago. Around the time it was 3 years old or so it developed a "clock whine" that I never could get rid of and I usually avoid using it unless the Echoplex isn't working.
As for tape delay units, they're great, but watch out for the warble effect, it doesn't work to well for most pedal steel stuff IMHO. My EP had an issue with the pinch solenoid so my tech replaced it with a spring. Ever since then it warbles a little, and I keep meaning to have him change it back. |
