I finished rebuilding the fingers with new 1/8"x1/4" flat head steel rivets.....
Then I stripped everything off the top of the body, neck, bridge, roller nut and gearheads and covered the mica top with a sheet of saran wrap as a parting sheet and mixed up some liquid epoxy and glass bedded all the parts back on with it and scewed them all down tight. Let the epoxy set up for 2 hours and then tore it all apart and peeled off the saran sheet from the parts, polished everything up and put it all back together with new allen head screws I can get some torque on instead of the original flat head slotted things...I just put on springs and strings and tuned the strings and plugged it in.
Tomorrie I will figure out the crossrod bushings for the pedal crossrods that rattle , The knee crossrods seem to be ok but for now all I can say is ......
You otter hear it now !.......
It just rings and rings on forever like a steel is possa and has a much more mellow sound than a normal steeley BMI because of the glass bedding......
In the end its going to be worth the work.....
Bill
