There is a 24 1/2 scale 1957 vintage D8 stringmaster on e-bay that appears to be in very good condition with case. It even has the orignal hang tag. The guy is asking $1995.00 for it. Is this a fair price or is it inflated? _________________ Georgeboards D8 Twin Princess, Fender Custom T8, Fender Stringmaster T8, Pre-war Rickenbacher 7string bakelite, Clinesmith D8 pedal steel, Clinesmith T8 non pedal steel, Simmons Genesis PSG, Simmons D10 psg, Peavey NV 112, Fender 65Princeton Reverb, Roland Cube |

I think it's a little high considering each photo shows a defect in the finish or chrome. Maybe closer to $1500 might be a better deal. |

Thanks for the feedback. I want to buy a stringmaster like the D8 I had many, many, many years ago when I was a teenager. This one is a 24 1/4 scale and I would prefer 22 1/2 so I may wait. I was just trying to get a feel for what they are worth today. There are a couple more on e-bay but they don't look as clean. _________________ Georgeboards D8 Twin Princess, Fender Custom T8, Fender Stringmaster T8, Pre-war Rickenbacher 7string bakelite, Clinesmith D8 pedal steel, Clinesmith T8 non pedal steel, Simmons Genesis PSG, Simmons D10 psg, Peavey NV 112, Fender 65Princeton Reverb, Roland Cube |
