Ernest, that's a great shot of the BIGSBY! WHO is playing it in the photo, do you know?

The photo on the album cover is definitely NOT a BIGSBY but rather a FENDER, correct?

It was very nice to get to meet you while in TEXAS and it would be fun to get together once again and perhaps steal away more time so we could chat.

Ray that is the whole picture, he is covering up so much it is hard tell, but the Bigsby is nat. and the guitar on the front is RED. Yes we spent more time with TOM shooting the breeze than we spent in the big room. Much fun you are something else.

Ray:

That Bigsby is the one Lloyd Green used to play when with Faron Young. It was later sold to Gary Stewart.

The picture is of Gary Stewart's hands. Gary at one time (1950s) recorded with Charlie Ryan in your neck of the woods. Gary even posted on this forum a time or two in it's earliest days--10 years ago or so. I often wonder if he has since passed on because he was around here only very briefly.

I have no idea how it ended up on Herb's LP, but stranger things have happened with LP covers--like the Buddy Emmons "Steel Guitar Jazz" LP showing a guitar on the cover that Buddy did not play on the recordings.

Ernest my wonderful friend, I just saw your post, yes, I do have that picture on this same album.

This picture makes this album a collector item to me. But then I'm a hard cor Bigsby kinda guy, still, after 58 years!

Thank you great Mr. Cawby
