are the new classic 30 amps as good for 6 string tele as good as the old ones found a new one in a music store can buy for around 500$ is this a good deal i will try my 52 tele through it before i buy one thanks for any help mike _________________ Mike Bowles |

I don't think they've changed them much over the years except for the cosmetics of the new models. New, they sell for $599 street price + tax, so $500 might be a bit high depending on how old it is. One thing they have added is a cage to protect the tubes in the back of the amp. |

jerry this is a new amp straight from the music store i played my fender a little while ago it sounded pretty with my ibanez de7 so i might do some thinking before i buy although my stage 100 is ss thanks mike _________________ Mike Bowles |

$500 ? well considering the used older tweed ones go for $300 to $350 , $500 is a lot. I have one from 2004, I love it, this is my go to amp now when I am playing only Telecaster,I am also always looking for a second but they are getting hard to find and if there is one arounnd it doesn't last long.
I have played the new ones and they seem exactly the same, they just look different.
