How good can life get??
Friday night a fellow steel player, Bill Schmidt and I took our wives to see Danny Sneed doing his usual KICK A$$ work at the "Buffalo Chip" in Cave Creek...after Danny's first set all of us and Danny crossed the parking lot and got to listen to Mike Smith tearing it up with His band at Harolds!!
It don't get no better than this!!

Hay Jack I do that as often as possible - usually the other way around - see Mike Smith at Harolds and then go to the Buffalo Chip - many times there are three or 4 steel guitar owners (like me) in there when I go.

Jack, I am truly envious of you. Imagine seeing/hearing Danny live.
Danny sure is a one of a kind. As an example: I don't even care for jazz but when Danny plays, it sounds great .
He is usually halfways thru a song before I notice that he's not even using a volume pedal! Talk about control!
I am definitely a fan!

I just wished I could have a bad night like Danny.
Jack if I am there you will see me - I set as close to Danny as possible - usually right in front of that speaker on the front row (or Denise and I are on the dance floor 2-steppin')
I have talked to the guys in the band and they have no idea how they got or have kept Mike - they tell me he is so over their heads it is unbelieveable he stays.
