Do the Webb amps have variable voltage ? I am in Australia where everything runs off 240v . Does the Webb run only at 110v ?

Brendan, Des Heatherington has a Webb 614 over here in NZ so I will check with him to see if it's a 240v version, or whether he has to use a step-up transformer.

Hi Brendon. My Webb 614E has no external power transformer in it, it just plugs straight in to a 240volt 3 pin power socket, we run on the same voltage here in NZ. someone has added a switch on the back of mine , dont ask me what it dose cause i havnt figured it out yet, lol but its a old style chicken head knob that clicks between 25/50/100. mabe its a voltage regulator im not sure i just leave it 100, The Webb is a fantasic sounding amp, Hope this is of some help to you,, Cheers, Des Hetherington

Brendan

I have one of the new Bradshaw Webb amps which runs at 110 volts. I have been using an external voltage converter transformer for the amp to use the UK 240 volts. However, I am fixing to get my amp's internal transformer changed to one that runs on 240 volts.

As Des Hetherington has attested, the Webb amp is just a wonderful piece of kit - particularly the new Bradshaw version.
