Did Fender ever make a single neck string master that looked exactly like the D8 string master or are these S8 look alikes just the result of someone taking one neck of a D8 and adding three legs? _________________ Georgeboards D8 Twin Princess, Fender Custom T8, Fender Stringmaster T8, Pre-war Rickenbacher 7string bakelite, Clinesmith D8 pedal steel, Clinesmith T8 non pedal steel, Simmons Genesis PSG, Simmons D10 psg, Peavey NV 112, Fender 65Princeton Reverb, Roland Cube |

Jim, the "single neck Stringmaster" was actually called a Fender Deluxe by Fender.
Fender only made short scale (22 1/2") Deluxes.
Of course, there are single necks that have been separated from multi-necks and had sockets and legs added. |
