Topic: Neat Chord Sequences On E9th and C6th! Hear them! |

These chord sequences are easy to play and only scratch the surface of what's available by lowering the 9th E9th string a half tone and combining it with the E9th 3rd pedal and the E to F knee lever.
Similary a lot of new changes are available by raising the C6th 6th string a half tone from E to F and lowering the 4th string a half tone.

Thanks Kevin! I don't always get the same tone every time and the tone that sounds good by itself often doesn't sound good in the mix with other instruments. Not to mention that my ears seem to vary a lot from day to day.
Anyhow, my recording setup is listed on my web site along with about 475 tabs and 130 songs all with sound files. Listening to those, you can hear that my tone is all over the place!
The guitar is an MSA Legend with 6 month old Jaguire stainless strings bought here on the forum. Recorging chain is MSA Legend, George L's cord, Goodrich 120 pot pedal, George L's cord, Boss RV-5 set on Hall, George L's cord, Fender Steel King amp, Shure SM-57 mic, Yamaha MG10/2 mixer, Yamaha AW-2400. The drums are EZDrummer Nashville pack mixed with Reaper then downloaded to the AW-2400. Final mix on the AW-2400 then uploaded to the computer and converted to wma at 192kbps and also mp3 at 320kbps.

Great...thanks....just pulled up your site and will go through it.
I just noticed that you had a very thick sound and the strings sounded extra, extra crisp.
As a former guitarist I used to be aboe to deaden wound stirngs in about ten minutes. I ended up using the polymer coated strings on my B-Bender and that worked for me. I was considering using those on my Carter but maybe I will try the Jagwire's. I went to that site and was kinda stunned to see how many different sets of strings they make. Not sure if it is just clever marketing or if it makes sense.
For now I am running my steel through the A/D inout of my Yamaha XS synth and then through my M-Audio EX66 recording studio speakers...certainly not optimum. So I am in the market for a rig. Not sure about the pre-amp thing....all this Black Box chatter and such has me scratching my head. Wondering if I can get by with just a Nashville 112 or old Fender Twin. But I would like to end up with a richness like the one you are getting on ypur setup. Guess I am just now investigating.
