Topic: Do you wear your finger picks slightly twisted? |

I have a feeling I'm going to regret the way I worded the subject ...  But anyway ... In order to make palm blocking work on the higher strings, I have to pivot my right hand a little bit to the left so that the string I'm blocking falls under the fleshy part of my hand instead of under my bony pinky. As a result, my fingers cross the strings at a slight angle rather than perpendicularly. I get better tone if I twist my finger picks a little bit so the picks strike the strings squarely. Is that normal, or am I doing something wrong?

| Hey John, whatever it takes. There's no rules. Propik makes finger picks that are angled and I also have to bend them onto my fingers so that they are a little to one side of my finger and not directly under my finger nail. I've also tried twistin' them just a tad to make for a more comfortable angle. |
