This Wednesday night, 9pm at the Bluebird Cafe.
Four piece band (no bass or drums);two acoustic guitars, two singers with great harmony, keyboards and lots of steel...
Not Lloyd Green this time unfortunately, just me humbly doing my own interpretations of some of my favorite steel playing of the last few years, which is Lloyd's playing on Peter and Eric's duet album ("You Don't Have to Like Them Both") as well as two other albums with Peter. I'm gonna have a blast, the songs are great as are the singers and players...
Plus two guest vocalists for a few songs each; Kim Carnes and Kevin Gordon... |

Pete
You will do great with those guys.
I have their CD's and listen to them
all the time.
I tried to email Lloyd and tell
him how much I enjoyed his work but the email
bounced back, he must have changed his email.

Thanks Rick,
We had a blast last night, played a long set to a sold out house... I've been playing with both Peter and Eric for years individually; they're two of my best friends, and I've done most of their (infrequent) band gigs since they hooked up as a duo. I think Lloyd has surpassed even himself on their recent recordings and the next one will be billed as "Peter Cooper and Lloyd Green". It's fantastic of course, we did several of the songs from it last night; not sure when it will be out... |
