I've owned this Stringmaster for 10-12 years but I rarely play steel anymore. All my gigs now are with a Telecaster.
Can someone give me an idea on how much it's worth and how old it might be? I was told early 60's when I bought it.
It looks to be all original and in pretty decent condition. One nasty ding (pictured).
Everything works great.
22.5" scale
The case is a perfect fit but is most likely not original. Black tolex/red lining. Broken handle.
Latches work.
Two of the legs have no rubber tips and two have replacements.

Thanks for any info.
John

I have the same one and always follow the market. I've seen one go as high as $1300. I would say $1100-1200 is reasonable.

I just got a beat one for $810 shipped. Wish I would have know about yours, it looks great. If you do want to sell it, please let me know what your price is. Why not have two?

That was a D-8. But the day's coming when a real clean D-6 will fetch that price. Shocked

Unfortunately I'll probably be in "the home" by then.

I'm not sure about the switch tip. Shouldn't it be a top hat switch?

A black case with red lining puts the guitar at circa 1964 or later. The Kluson tuners put it at no later than circa 1966.
