Topic: Steeldriver II leg bracket needed |

Does anyone know how I can get hold of Goodrich...or who stocks or can get a leg attachment bracket for a Goodrich Steeldriver II? Mine snapped in half - I've searched everywhere and can't find any company contact info even using the name, city and state. Dealers all seem to carry pedals or the Steeldriver III but no parts other than a pedal bracket. Not really the strongest design...I'd probably get 2 of them.

| That stuff that George L sells is a sawed-off length of conduit clip, electrical contractors can get it by the yard for a quarter of the cost... also, hardware stores all sell broom holders, bent spring metal that mounts on the wall to hold your rakes & brooms. You have to pad the inside of that to keep from scratching your legs. There are a couple of guys here selling accessory holders that fit over the front and back leg, and depend on gravity alone to hold the crossbar. |

David - thanks. I have an electrical contractor in our business complex, and we "trade ponies" (specialty waterproofing from us, electrical from them) - I can probably get it today!

| I made myself one out of a piece of PVC. I even made a couple extra ones. You can get PVC at any plumbing store. |

I also figured I could use a pair of metal clips for hanging brooms up in the garage. Probably last a LOT longer than a piece of plastic if it's taken on and off fairly often, which mine is.

A few months ago, someone was discussing making teir own clips using a 3-4 inch piece of PVC, using a saw to remove a lengthwise section of the pipe, and then using a file to refine the removed are so it would fit around a PSG leg and act as a clip. Then a couple of holes get drilled and countersunk on the inside to attach to whatever.
However, the post was begun by the person mentioning he had cut the dickens out of his fingers in the process. I seem to think he was using a table saw!!! I think the recommendation after some discussion was to use a band saw to make the lengthwise cuts, or possible a hacksaw.

In the same thread Ernie Cawby mentioned using a table saw to do this. 
Not sure I'd wanna do this with a table saw.

The metal ones scratch the leg and the PVC ones look like c--p, stick with the George L ones.
