Have know Barry many years, his son is one of Nashville greatest musicians also. A truly overly talented family.

Barry wasn't a typical "Cookie cutter" Producer. He had and used his own mind in productions. His son will fill his shoes in the next few years I'm sure.

Another close friend to miss.

Besides being a great producer he was an awesome musician, playing on a ton of the hits that came out of Muscle Shoals.
Saw him playing piano with Rodney Crowell at the Bottom Line in NYC. He tore it up.
Rest in peace.

I had the honor of working with Barry on a couple of occasions, the first time down in Muscle Shoals back in 1980. Websters definition of the term "laid back" should read Barry Beckett. Another one of the true legends has left us.
