I need to replace a 1501-4 basket on a sort of medium sized BMX magnet.
This magnet has a spider but no spider web, as I said it is smaller and lighter than a Black Widow.
I am debating between a JBL, Reg Black Widow, or a NeoMag Black Widow with 1501-4 basket.
I know these Peavey parts are interchangeable, but I am wondering if the different magnets affect the tone of the speaker going into a LTD
Thanks

Ken,
I find every speaker changes the tone even if it the same type. I have BW speakers 1501-4 with the spider and the web and they sound differently placed in the LTD 400 and placed in the Sessions 400. I have scorpion speakers that sound better than the BWs.
You just don't know what the combo of the amp and the speaker will be until you fire it up.
BTW Ken, who do you play with? I'd like to catch you playing in Austin or the area.
Curtis
