After two years of "practise, practise, practise, and more practise plus getting help from some very neat people on this forum, It is starting to pay off. Its like a light went on in my head, and things are starting to fall into place. I am now able to play with the Praise and Worship group at my church. Here are some "Steelers" I really want to thank. Because of your help, and material that alot of you took time to send me it made it possiable for me to do this. Jim Manley, Duane Becker, Bill Mayville, Erv Niehaus Larry Jamieson, Greg Cutshaw, Calvin Walley, and Jody Sanders. I know I have missed someone, but Thank You All very much. This is what this forum is all about. The Pro's jumping in to help the "New Guys". I still have a Whole Lot to learn and never will be able to play like alot of you, but it sure is becoming fun with what I am already doing. "THANK YOU" Jack<><

I feel the same way as Jack. I owe a lot of people, especially Bobbe Seymour, Dewitt Scott ahd Greg Cutshaw.

Also, if it wasn't for the shared information here on the FORUM, it would take years of trial and error just to get the basics. Having access to the experienced steeler is priceless...even the well-known "PRO' player gives us personal advice and encouragement!

Ain't we fortunate to have the FORUM???

Thanks to all who help others! Tommy

Jack,
Glad you are making progress and having fun with the steel guitar. It is a life long learning process. I'm about 34 years in and still learning. Playing with a group forces you to expand you knowledge and learn new things. Have fun!
