A few months ago, I got a really nice Rosewood Mica D10 Mullen. The copedent on the RKL on E9 neck was a little different(5 & 10 to Bb/A#) than what I was used to (1 to G#, 7 to G#) and it had a vertical Kl( 1 to G, 6 to G). First I changed string 1 to G# on LKV, and then today I switched string 6 on LKV to F#. No problems. Im really enjoying this setup. these seem to be standard changes. But so do the G#/G - F#/G . I'm relatively new on steel and wondering are there advantages to the changes I'm missing in that copedent. Eventually I think I would like to swap the LKV and RKL changes so B >Bb is on the vertical. What is involved in doing this?
