I've been looking at the Magnum guitars and there are a few things I'd like to know about them.

Are the pull rods, bellcranks etc. used on the Magnum identical to those used on Carters? Would it be possible to use Carter parts to add extra pulls to the Magnum's knee levers? Is it possible to add extra pedals?

Also, are the cabinet dimensions the same as the Carters'? Would a Magnum SD-10 fit in a Carter D-10 fligh case?

The parts are not the same, but they look interchangeable to me. The crossshaft looks the same, so you could mix bellcranks from either guitar. The Magnum has a single blade bellcrank, with holes. The rods are bent 90 degrees to fit into the holes. They use a spring retainer. It's actually simpler and easier to change pulls on the magnum. The pedals look the same to me.

The cross shafts are different sizes. 3/8" vs 5/16 on the Magnum.
You should order Magnum parts for your Magnum.
Carter flight cases will fit the Magnum.

I owned a Magnum for several months. I was very impressed with the guitar overall. It had a real good sound too!

The magnum looks like a nice lightweight guitar like the Carter. I like the bellcranks and undercarrige of them , eaiser to change a pedal pull. I like that...al.SmileSmile Very Happy Cool
