Bobby, you know I love all the steels that you have for sale, but in this case, you have outdone even yourself. You sir, are the king of cleaning up a pedal steel. All I can say is "we are not worthy"...
Best of luck on the sale, and best of luck in general.

I saw this guitar about a month ago at Bobby's. It's truly an awesome work of art and craftmanship. Bobby goes way over and above to please his buyers. I for one was a real pain so thanks again BB. _________________ MASGA, Mullen G2, Hilton, Evans, Webb, Walker |

Good Lord that is just "Sick"....What a priceless work of art if you ask me. There is NO BETTER than A.J. Nelson. To me if A.J. redoes a finish...it doubles the value.
Cracks being a flaw??? I THINK NOT!!!!....they help the guitar breath man.....Of the 100 or so Shobud's have had to work on...the ones with the little hairline cracks in the wood behind the changer ALWAYS sounded better.
If somebody in Texas is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay lucky to buy this Emmons; please let me know....I want to see this in person.

Bobby, WOW! If I had the $$$$ I'd be in my car headed your direction. That is one of the best looking steels I've seen on the Forum. BEAUTIFUL WORK! _________________ Zumsteel 12 Universal

Breathtaking...wow is right! If the IRS only let you claim this as another dependent (there should be a copendant dependent tax clause right?)...then I could have enuff to own artwork like this _________________ Dave Simonis

Bobby,
Why are there "half-tone" tuners on string 5 on the E9th neck?

Bro. Carl
Not to pre-empt Mr. Boggs, but I'd say the presence of the half-tone tuner would be to fine-tune the pull on p.3, so that pedal travel on #3 can be more precisely adjusted.
I've always felt that those tuners should be on ANY bellcrank swivel affecting a string with multiple raises, even those to the same note. Simply for ease of adjustment. Much easier than using springs of differing lengths or precision placement of collars.
Springs, of course, are needed for the correct timing of pulls; the fine tuners are to augment the use of springs, not replace them. _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |

I agree totally Herb on pedal 3, but why on pedal 1 also? Or vice versa?
