I am playing the Emmons set-up and am doing a lot of minor chord practicing at the moment. The A pedal positions are breaking my ankle. When I play my A+F majors it's no problem, because when I can kick my knee out, I get a good comfortable angle on the A pedal. Also, when I play A + B stuff, the pedals are comfortable. So, I don't want to do anything too drastic, but when I have to keep that knee in it's really rolling my ankle. So I am wondering:
Can I adjust the A pedal so it bottoms out quicker? Then I won't have to roll my ankle so far over to hit the note and clear the B pedal. And, along those same lines, can I make it start higher and bottom out quicker, thus maintaining the same amount of travel but raising the height of the start and end points? I know one can adjust the hex screw down there, is that the way/only way?
Thanks. If any of you are still awake, all responses are greatly appreciated.

Will that dictate where it stops too or just where it starts? |
