I am a new user of ProTools and barely know my way around. Using LE v8, does anyone know of a way, after importing a song to track too, I can 1) slow the tempo down (it is way too fast for me on dobro) 2) change the key of the song?
Granted I have not thorouhgly researched this, but thought someone here might know the easy way of accomplishing this.
Thanks in advance.

you would probably need a plug in to do that.
I use Serrato pitch 'n time, which would solve both your problems.

It's expensive, but there are other cheaper plugins that do the same, but I'm only familiar with this one. |

Stephen, there is a function called "elastic audio" in ProTools v8 that does an awesome job of changing down tempos. As for changing the key, I am not too sure, but elastic audio may offer some function for that. |

i'm still using 7.3 but i think the elastic audio feature in 8 includes changing pitch and tempo. i can't tell you how to do it but i'd go to the digidesign website and see if they have any tutorial videos. |
