Quite a few years ago when I was studying Classic
Guitar I wrote this Latin Song and just lately
decided to work it out on C6th Lap Steel.
So it's an original and the tuning from
low to high:C--E--G--A--C--E

Roy. Just got around to listening to this. I think it is actually one of the best things you have ever posted. I really like your use of open strings and the improv sections. NICE phrasing and as always, your playing is super!!! |

Thank you both for posting.
Most of my composing is influenced by hearing
other instruments and "steeling" a phrase, an
idea or rhythm pattern. Such was the case with
Adora Si Si.
Actually I would like to see a section of the
Forum allocated solely to Steel Composers,
New Tunings and innovations. This could encompass
Pedal, Non Pedal, Dobro, Acoustic or any
instrument played with the bar. Perhaps also
bring in the builders or people with new design ideas etc.
It may inspire some to start "writing" for Steel
Guitar and lead the way for new directions.
Just a thought.
I would be interested in what others think about
this.
