8 and 5 setup. Excellent condition. I just bought it a few month ago and truly it is an exceptional guitar. I finally got the D-10 bug!! Well here we go again!!!!

It has a George L pickup that has a selector knob under the steel for 6 different tone settings. Pickup has two wires coming off of it. Not sure what model the pickup is.

The pickup sits on a little tray that allow up/down adjustments. It is attached to the tray but a bit loose. I figured I would try to tighten that up next string change. Should not be an issue.

The case is a bit rough but will do the job. The guitar is mechanically just excellent and looks like it has seen little use for it's age. It is a triple raise/lower changer. Changer rollers show no tarnish at all, nice and shiny. This guitar could not have seen much service. The rollers on the changer end on my 1976 were well stained from years of playing!

I am not sure the year of build, I am guessing early 1980's??

I had looked for one of these several years, as I had the same steel in a S-10 for many years (bought it new in 1976). I just found a Sierra D-10 and am working on that now as my main instrument.

Well that's my story and I'm sticking to it. I bought this for $1500 and shipping to me. I added a pull on the 10th string at pedal 2, G# to A. I also have an extra new rod in the case and a spare bell crank on the steel at string 12, a short one. I also have a few of the extra nylon tuners.

$1500.00 and shipping. PayPal by echeck only (that way the fee is only $5.00). Can deliver to the Alabama Show this week as well.

Dang that could be my old guitar? Probably not but looks just the same although I had the stock PU on it when I sold it to someone in the Nashville area about 10 years ago.

Yep that was a nice look and I am sure they made plenty of them. I think I got mine around 79 and now that I think about it I am not sure mine had that big "the universal" on it. I have some tapes from that era of my playing and it was a good sounding guitar stock pup and all, I think I used a Peavy Mace (tube, 2-12's with two switchable channels) back then?

Got it fixed. I had made a couple of mistakes on the chart! All better now, I hope.
