This is 1954 Fender Dual Professional. Blond finish over ash. All original. It sounds great, strong and well balanced pickups. The tuners work fine. There is some finish wear as can bee seen in the photos. The chrome is in excellent condition. There is a small crack or seam split where the front neck meets the center yoke at the keyhead end of the guitar (see photos). The crack seems very stable: the previous owner had the guitar in Colorado for about eight years before I got the guitar, and he said that the crack was there since he got it; I have owned the guitar in southern California for about two years and the crack has not changed, so I have not bothered to glue it as I prefer to leave the guitar alone if it doesn't need it. The case is original, but the tweed is a little dirty and worn, and the inside leather snap straps have worn out. I am asking $1200 plus shipping.
The next two pictures show the top and bottom of the crack:

Very cool. I've had its younger twin #2897 (8/54) since 1973.
(They cost a little less then.) _________________ "Gopher, Everett?" |
