This an odd little duck, made for a member here on the forum. He's putting together a 12 stringer with 3/8" spacing on the 8 string/guitar section, and 1/2" spacing on the bass section, the other 4 strings. It sounded quite dandy in my 8 string test-bed lapsteel; of course this is without the bass strings in play, and I will find out in due time how it does in his instrument...potted, alnico 5s, 42gauge SE coil wire, ~8kOhms/coil, ~16 in series.
An interesting concoction I thought I'd share,
