I remember that. I was a bit concerned that it might fall and crush Jeff - and then who would operate the video camera, play the ukulele, load the equipment, and drive the van when I start to nod out?
My Fender Stringmaster Quad had fallen on my foot earlier, so falling Quads were on my mind as a primary concern.
Quads are not lightweight. I had the foot of many colors for several daze . .

Thanks for posting that George.

What's the name of the tune Ray is playing at the end of the clip. It's very cool.

If the tune that "off-camera" Gerald Ross is referring to..........is the one where off-camera Gerald plays some truly great stuff on his 'only half of a guitar', well that one would hafta' be "RED SKIN RAG".

Gerald gets fabulous tone out of that silouette of a real guitar he was playing......

TONE therefore has to be IN THE HANDS since there wasn't much of a guitar there to get tone out of.
But again, Gerald is capable of getting fabulous tone no matter whether he's playing an itsy, bitsy little pawn shop Ukelele or a lap steel or an imitation guitar........

I'm honored to have had this opportunity to have Gerald Ross playing rythmn for my set. THANKS GERALD.

Thank you Ray.

It was a pleasure playing with you in Dallas. And it was a lot fun just hanging out with you - and experiencing your dry sense of humor. Cool

Thanks a lot Ray Whoa!

I just learned 'Red Skin Rag' from your video - cool song - thanks!

But I have a full schedule of ukulele festivals I am playing this season. The crowds at these festivals are very politically correct. If I play this tune I'll have to change the name to 'Red Skins Rag' and say that it's a song about potatos. Laughing

Jeff Newman featured a great Dobro player on several of his albums of olde.

Is this the same gentleman that appeared there on, with Jeff?

He looks quite a bit older..........so I'm confused, somewhat.

Jeff Newman and Mike Auldridge cut an album in the 80's....I think it's called "Sliding Smoke"....or something like that....perhaps that's the one you're speaking of....and yes,....25 years has it's affect on everyone.....I'm really 32....I just worry a lot.....
