Just wanted to let you all know that Gene Watson has a new CD that is coming out very soon called "Gene Watson - From The Heart". It is on a new label in Nashville called RMG Records. I had the pleasure of hearing an advanced copy today and like everything Gene has ever done, it is great. And you all will be pleased to know that Buddy Emmons came out of "studio retirement" to play on it. In addition to Emmons, Gregg Galbraith plays some great guitar, and Aubrey Haynie shines on fiddle. There are a bunch of great new songs, plus Gene's take on a couple classics, Take Me As I Am Or Let Me Go, and I Never Go Around Mirrors.

Anyway, be looking for it in record stores soon!

Scott...It is a great CD...Had an interview with Gene at Legends Fest in Angola, In two weeks ago and he gave me an advance copy. Played cuts off of it on the Country Update inernet radio show last Sun and it is fantastic. Buddy sounds great and all the studio players were excellent. I played the Gene Watson interview on my show Sun and Gene said he was so glad the record company let him do the project the way hee wanted. Just hope everyone will go out and get the CD. It is really great!

Gotta get one ordered, too.
It was recorded back in April and May.

The same week Buddy recorded some western swing stuff with Leon Rausch, of the Texas Playboys. It was produced by Buddy Spicher. The Nashville Swing Band!

Got an advanced copy last week. Gene is
great and Buddy is very laid back with
tone to the bone!!!. Its gonna have at least three singles released from it. IMHO

Gene's new cd will be released September 11th and will be available in Wal-Mart, Tower, Musicland Stores, E.T.Record Shop and through the internet from Amazon.com. The current single "Next To Nothing" is now getting quite a lot of airplay. As usual his singing is great and the musicians really shine too!
