This is a model 400. I think it was back in the 1970's when I bought it. In the 1980's I bought a Model 120 pot pedal and retired the photocell pedal, saving it for a backup pedal. I pull it out about once a year to check it and make sure it still works. It still works fine and has the original bulbs in it. I bought spare bulbs when I bought the pedal, but have never had to use them. The Model 120 has never failed me, so I've never had to rely on the Model 400.
I'm curious to know if anybody else still has their old Goodrich Model 400 Steelman pedal.

Lee, i know George Redmon from michigan has an old goodrich steelman photocell pedal that belonged to his dad years ago. George mentioned some type of electrical issue this old pedal had??? Anyway he says it works and sounds just as good as it did back in the 70's.
Also george has a pristine Goodrich Curly Chalker photocell pedal, that he has retired. George says that chalker pedal, sounds better then any on the market today, i tend to agree, i have used this pedal. I like it better then his LDR2, or hilton. The taper on those old curly chalker pedals were the best, and tone was incredible. I play fiddle standing up, and the chalker pedal is just perfect. Sad, even i can't talk george out of either of these two great old pedals.
