I'm trying a new pre-amp and heard the MX-200 Works real well with it. I have the Lemay MK-1 I played thru 2 different systems with the new Multi-Taper FP-100 at Dallas. I played Del Mullens And it sounded fantastic. Later i played a guys Zum thru one when John was demoing another unit up stairs, and then i played my Millennium thru it. They all three sounded great. Del Mullen was using a MPX-1 but everyone says they are hard to program. John says it has to be 100% wet. So any info on the two will help.
Thanks, Gary |

The MPX series devices have been discontinued by Lexicon. The new MX series might be easier to program, but it's hard for me to imagine that they could sound any better. Lexicon's reverbs and delays are top notch, IMHO.
I used an MPX-100 on stage for a few years, when I was carrying rack equipment. At one point I even daisy chained two of them in the rack to get pitch shift and rotary at the same time for an organ effect. The result was amazing. _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. The MX200 algorithms according to the head of Lexicon are actually better than the MPX-1. And MUCH easier to program. And they are considerably cheaper! And they will work with a preamp with an effects loop. All this goodness in one small box. Now if they would only improve my playing! :0) |
