| Western Swing is alive and swingin' at Cowboy Country with the advent of a brand new Western Swing band, "Ragtop" also the SCWSMS house band, enthusiastically led by Harry Orlove. So far he's managed to gather some of L.A.'s finest including himself, Steelman Michael Johnstone along with Fiddlers Brantley Kearns, Cody Bryant, and Candy Lehrman Gerard; Drummers Mark Bowman and Jim Cruce; and Bassmen Paul Marshall and Pete Friberg. Rick Schmidt, along with some of his pals payed them a visit last Sunday the 19th and had a great time. Thanks for your support Rick. Are you sure we can't drag you away from Loretta's? Hey all you So. Cal steelers, western swing fans, and beyond.....
Cathi's not kidding! I had a wonderful time listening to the Ragtop band last sunday! Outside of surfing in Maui or fishing in Cabo, I can't think of a better way to spend a late Sunday afternoon. 
Forumite Mike Johnstone is kicking butt on steel! I've played with a few of these guys before, so I know he's having a ball. They really are L.A.'s finest!
Do yourselves a favor...check it out!
