I think I've unearthed one of these. Gruhn's Guide indicates that this model was possibly a black finish BR-6 and that only 77 were shipped.
Has any one ever seen one or seen a catalog with a picture?
Thanks,

Ron,
That's the original BR6 that was produced just after the war. I'm talking about the ones that were supposedly produced in the mid 50s. |

Can't say I've ever seen one. I would think they would look good in black finish. |

the black model ( far right in pic)is quite different from the other more common BR6 ( center of pic)
it has a fretboard w: numbers similar to the BR9
some do come up on ebay from time time

I was under the impression that the black BR-6 were made first and later followed by the wood tone BR-6. These come up every 4-6 weeks on Ebay. This is what I was referring to.

Anyone noticed the prices on BR9s on Ebay? Saw one for over 300 bucks and still going. It has to be the most common one around, so I don't understand the prices. I've had two, and they are OK but not great. |

I paid around $450 for mine which was a bit pricey but at least it was all original with case |
