Here it is almost done will go for it when we get back from Dallas.

This guitar has 4X5 Franklin pedal, the pickup is TT wired as the BL 710, I ordered the fretboard from Bill so both guitars had the same fretboard, also I liked the color so green.
Nan and I went there yesterday and she timed the sustain, I hit a note and after 1 minute and a half I just laid my hand on the string and stoped the sound, that ie pretty good sustain.
There will ba a decal and my name on the front in white letters, I have designed a decal for all his guitars, a circle with his name around it and guitars accross to the right from the bottom of the circle.

That's a beautiful guitar. Please explain what you mean when you say:

The pickup is a True Tone made by Jerry wallace, and is wired just like a Bill Lawarnce BL 710, That is what is on my Williams and I liked it so much I wanted the same pickup on tyhe new guitar. Matter of fact I like everything about the williams We did the color and fretboard, so when I look at the guitar I do not have to see another fretboard. Micke said yesterday when he is rested up he is building me a D10 with his up grade machined parts under neith, He wants me to play a guitar like his new parts. He uses 60 61 alum, and 20 24 aircraft metal and all stainless steel on all hardware. The changer moves on a ball bearings. It played like a dream.

I'm still confused. The True Tone is a single-coil pickup and the BL-710 is a dual-coil (humbucking) pickup. In what way are they wired alike?

I guess they are wired single cause there is no switch, my williams has a tone control, there is none on the new one.

Lee,
I think what Ernie is trying to say is he had Jerry to wind his new Truetone PU to where it would sound like a Bill Lawrence 710.

Split tuning screws with springs to keep them in place ?
Great idea...

Martin's work is outstanding. Many of the pieces have his personal stamp on them. There are simply none other like it. I am humbled by this man's artistry.
Martin, congratulations on another fine project. Keep them coming.

While we were at Martins house he told us he wanted to build me a D10 with all his ideas, new things he has come up with, and build it like he wants to build, OF COURSE I SAID YES, bUT you will never get this one back. He has the big new milling machine and wants to put it to use.
I asked him yesterday if he would build parts for people that can not find parts they needed and he said he would if they send him a copy of what they need, that means send him the old part.
Martin is not ready to build for other people yet cause he does not want it to be a job, it is a labour of love, and have to deal with persnickerty people, (my words not his). I could tell more but not now maby in an e-mail.
