What a great weekend the "Summit" was, with that amazing house-concert as the centerpiece. Thanks for documenting it , Howard. Some nice camera work in these two of Dave, Cathy, Marv and Gerald. More Moonlighters! More Dave! How about some of Gerald's set (like his alternate lyrics to "Something Stupid" )? You're on a roll...

BRAVO! Bravo! Bravo............
Great performance by four mighty fine musicians. That's the kind of music many of us, I'm sure, long to hear on a regular basis.
A tip of the hat to Gerald Ross...... Both feet flat on the floor and a strong rhythm guitar.....how invigorating! I really liked the "Back Home in Indiana"......... What inspired playing!
About more of this? |

Where did Gerald get that flesh-colored yarmulkeh?
Great stuff Howard. I sent an email to Kathy & Marv alerting them to the vids.
One thing... spell Dave's name correctly or nobody will be able to find it on YouTube: Dave Giegerich
Marv and Kathy Reitz are fantastic musicians (and great singers as well). Whenever I play on the East Coast they back me up. Rickfest 2006 was the first gig in our Spring Tour 2006. The New York UkeFest was the last gig in our Spring Tour 2006. Two gigs, very symmetrical. Lots of fun, but now I have four hundred Spring Tour 2006 t-shirts in my basement.

We could all wait for Dave to show up (and check the left margin) or stare at it here: GIEGERICH.
No wonder you guys can't find him in the phone book... |

Thanks for posting these Howard. That was a great time. What a pleasure to play with Gerald, Marv and Kathy, and thanks to Rick Aiello for putting the whole thing on. I'm playing 6 string on Under Paris Skies and 7 string on Indiana. |
