I own a EH 150 lap steel and its my favorite.
I would like to try my hand at building one.
I can't help but wonder if there is a forum member that may have some building plans on how they were constructed. Seymour Duncan still makes the charlie christian pickup. Thankyou forumites. |

Jason Lollar and a guy named Dominick Ramos also make CC pickups that are supposed to be quite good. Maybe Pete Biltoff as well (?).
I've got a '36 EH-150 myself. Love it. _________________ "...An admission of interest in protracted commentary is certainly no reason to capitalize on surmised aberations that do not exist." - BH |

Here is a lap steel that I built. This is probably
in the wrong place. The bridge is a les paul jr.
easy installed bridge. The fretboard maybe from
Tom Bradshaw. The pickup is a Carter Starter 10 string. The wood is maple but doesnt have to
be. Email me Here is a website http://www.buildyourguitar.com/resources/lapsteel/index.htm

I'd also recommend sticking with a Charlie Christian pickup. |
