I have a 90s Legrande with Sprezel keys on it. Some are a litle hard to turn. I sent them back to the factory and they really did a good job repacking them and loosening them up but some are not a smooth as I would like. They said that they did not make that key anymore.
Has anyone replaced the Sprezel keys on their guitar, if so what key did you use and did the holes match up.
Does anyone have any suggetions as to a replacement that the holes would match up on.
Thanks

To loosen the tight ones up, you might try loosening up the screw in the top of the button a tiny bit. Don't loosen it up too much, as it will increase the slack (slop) in the tuner. |

Are you saying that you can't find new tuners that will fit into the keyhead since the holes on the keyhead are either to big or to small? |

I had the same issue with an old Sho-Bud that used the same tuner keys. I bought 10 new replacements from Bobby Seymore...maybe he still has some. _________________ Star Steel Guitar, G.D. Walker's Stereo Steel System, Hilton Volume pedal, TC-M1 Effects Processor, Peterson StroboFlip Tuner |
