I'd like to thank Mike again for putting this event together. I had a great time at the Sunday jam!
Even though there is always a fair amount of "cluster pluckin'" at these round robin jams, all you have to do is look all around you to realize that you're surrounded by greatness. So nice to see my old friends and finally get to meet b0b, Chas and many others! |

Thanks are due not just to Mike Perlowin for organizing the fun Perl Jam, but to our long time partners:
Big Jim Baron, who drives 600 miles r/t to provide BIAB songs for us
John Hensch, audio-visual expert extraordinaire: I think a lot of us just take for granted that we have a great sound system, 2 projectors showing the BIAB charts so all players can read and play along, and even wireless mics for announcements. But that's all John's doing, without him we'd have a pretty stripped down format, believe me.
Thanks a million, Jim and John! _________________ E9 INSTRUCTION

My pleasure, Steve, great to see you; and you're playing is fantastic, my friend! Love that LeGrande, too, and outboard gear, very nice tone. _________________ E9 INSTRUCTION

I will add my thanks for all the hard work done by Mike, Jim & John in throwing a great party for us all to enjoy. It seems to get better each and every year and I look forward to "Perl-Jam" weekend and the chance to get together with everyone that attends.
It was really fun to hear everyone's ride on a little tune I wrote and brought a BIAB file for called "Sunset Shuffle". Thanks guys for putting up with my "Steely Dan meets the FBB's" approach to writing!!
If you shot any photo's, let's see them!

YES Mike, John and Jim are class acts and as Prof Twang said, we're so lucky they're willing to work so hard so we all can have a good time.
And I personally feel privileged to live in an area with so much great talent around. I learned alot from everybody this weekend and I appreciate it. Met alot of folks I look forward to seeing again.
Best to all,

I want to thank everybody who showed up. Players and spectators alike. It's you guys and gals who make the event a success.
I especially want to thank John Hensch for doing the sound and vidio projections, and Big Jim Baron for running the BIAB.
I also want to single out superstars Jay Dee Maness and Al Vescovo for allowing little guys like me (my waistline not withstanding) to pick with them.
And finally, I wish to say to those who usually come but were unable to this year, including Frank Carter, Billy Easton, Tropy Porter, Ron Turner, and Blackie Taylor, you presence was missed, and I hope to see you all next year. _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.

So sorry to have missed the jam this year, but it just didn't work out for us. I sincerely hope that next year we can attend. It is always great to see you and the California guys!!

Billy, Al I can say is that you were missed.
Besides you, Dave Wren, Frank Carter, Slip Edwards, Peter Freiberfer, Ron Turner and Blackie Taylor also all missed this year's jam. And we still had the biggest turnout ever.
The reason we went to 2 days is that so many people wanted to participate we couldn't fit them into one. It looks like we may have to go to 3 days next year. _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.

I just want to join in giving kudos to Mike P., Big Jim, and John Hensch for making this event happen. It is great fun to see, hear, and hang out with you guys who were there, and knowing it is coming up is great for putting the pressure on my playing (in a good way).
So thanks, Mike, Jim, & John, et al. |
