Selling today a 1953 National New Yorker six-string lap steel guitar, in very nice original condition, along with its original brown Lifton case (foil label intact, visible to right of tuners in top pic). Guitar is uniformly weather checked, with some areas of paint missing and blacked in (the worst of which is pictured 5th from the top). One thing I really like about this one is how the lacquer on the white lucite strips on top has yellowed. Tuner buttons have been replaced (with the new vintage style replacements from Stewart MacDonald which are great) but otherwise all the plastic knobs and pickup cover are original and in great shape. Output is strong and sweet. This version has a three-position tone control switch using varying caps for cutting highs. Price is $595 and includes insured FedEx Ground shipping. One pic below and the rest are HERE.
