The LT Zinn Hall of Fame show which was held in Grand Rapids Mi in April was Video Taped by the local public access tv folks in Grand Rapids. Carl Redding is the person responsible for having his TV crew with 3 fixed and one hand held camera video the entire 3 day show which is aired on the local Grand Rapids Public Access TV station. I have worked with Carl and the local Public Access TV station here in Paducah KY and they have agreed to air it also. Carl has these shows in 1/2 hr segments and the quality is great. If any one else has a interest in getting these shows aired on their local public access tv station, and is willing to take the time to talk to their local public access tv folks, you can E Mail me and I will put you in touch with Carl. There is one very important restriction however, and that is there can be no money involved or made thru the use of these shows by anyone or copying these tapes. The performers on this show have aggreed to allow these shows to be viewed on public access tv only for the express purpose of promoting the steel guitar.
What I did is find out who was responsible for the programing at the local tv station, which in Paducah was at the Community College, and let them view one of the 1/2 hr shows. They thought they were interesting enough and agreed to air them. Carl has 12-1/2 hr. shows and they are planning to air each show 3 times a week. |
