for all of you that have called, emailed, and snailed me about Jerrys argmt of Sand in A9 tuning, Josh has been very busy but tells me he will post shortly. He says he likes it. I haven't met anyone yet who doesn't like it. I have heard from folks through the yrs that have given up on it as too difficult. Thats ok. I fudge a couple of times during the arrgmt my self. Have fun with it cc |

CC, after watching the Anytime, Anyplace video on one of the other threads, I had to figure out the tuning and came up with A9 (E C# B G E C# A low A--DK Woods helped with strings 7 and 8 ). It's definitely an interesting sound. _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |

Hey all,
So sorry about the delay, I went away for 2 weeks (my first vacation in 6 years!!!!) and since coming back last week it's been one thing after another transitioning back into home/work/studio life. (My home heating oil tank ran dry whilst I was away....etc.)
I won't bore you with the other details...but I need to get my scanner now from my studio to my home due to technical difficulties there (since selling my iMac, my PC doesn't want to recognize my scanner), but I will get it done one way or another and now that I know you guys are itching to play A9 Sand, I'll make it a priority today! ![Very Happy](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) _________________ Lap-n-Console Steel Guitar Lessons |

I only know the B11 version! Is there actually an A9 version? I have heard him backing a singer on a recording of Sand. Is that the A9-version? I can't imagine a prettier version than B11! Couldn't you also call the A9-tuning an Em6? Why not? _________________ <marquee> Go~Daddy~Go, (No), Go, It's your Break Time</marquee> L8R, jb

John; You may or may not remember this but; didn't Jerry do an album with Chet called Two Guitars ? I seem to recall a song from that collaboration called Come A Little Closer and it was done on B11th as well. I think it was written by the Bryant couple who also wrote Wake Up Little Suzy and other Everly Bros hits. Any Memories....
It was way back and the first time I had ever heard of B11.
Regards, Paul

Paul; Come A Little Closer is the very first tune I learned on the C-Dia.-Tuning and Sand is the only tune I can play on the B11. Both tunes are on my Dinky Home~Video that I attempted. _________________ <marquee> Go~Daddy~Go, (No), Go, It's your Break Time</marquee> L8R, jb
