After reading all the posts of events and persons who are actually doing something with music, I need to move to Tennessee!!

I am missing way too much action living down here in South Florida!!!

I am serious!!!!!!

I just can't stand it any more....

I am a very experienced Computer System Consultant.. my website is:
http://2100solutions.tripod.com

If anyone ever hears of somthing up there, (like anywhere in the neighborhood!)please let me know.

Also, I apologize also for the above. I was just reading the postings about the Chet Atkins Appreciation Days and my fingers just took over. I, being the humble sort, would never resort to shameless self promotion.

Dave,

I don't think I would try to pursue it as a living, butwould be able to embrace it more fully as a hobby!!

I know what it is like to work in a a "flooded" market. I would just like to be able to be around people with the same interests. Maybe have more opportunity to play informally.

I would like to have more friends that are competent musicians than are not - which has usually been the case.

That is about it. In my experience, playing professionally is good, but the pay hasn't changed much in about 30 years.

Maybe Nashville isn't the place, but it seems like there are lots of terrific musical events, players and resources there.

Bill, you will never have to succume to "selfpromotion" I'll be more than happy to tell anyone who and what you are and it's all great! We can find you a place to work, live, and enjoy the wonderful fruits of steel guitar. Call Bekins now and get ready to move. People move to Nashville every day for some reason or other, you have as good a reason as anyones! Who knows,
Bobbe

Thanks, Bobbe.

I do look on Monster.com all the time, and do submit my resume regularly.

Maybe I don't have to do computer stuff. It just seems so pervasive in everything, I would think it would be just the thing.

As you say... who knows!! I'll keep a sharp eye out...
