Rick,

I have been playing the CD where this came from http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=151405&highlight= over and and over. I really like the country sound on your CD. Sure beats the Opry of today.

I'm not sure how many players can go into a studio and do all of the instruments and vocals too and get it to sound that good. I struggle with just one instrument.

Also, thanks for the steel guitar lessons. Those are some neat licks I can add to my repertoire. You really make it look easy. I will be trying them Saturday night.

Thanks again.

Jim

Thank you Jim. I enjoyed our afternoon of trading licks and working on BIAB stuff. You now know every steel guitar lick that I know, plus a whole bunch more. My licks won't even get you through the first set on Saturday. Ha Ha.

I got a copy of Rick's CD and have to say I think it's outstanding. Forget for a minute that Rick did all the playing, vocals and engineering by his lonesome (which are all right in the pocket, IMO), it's just an excellent country music CD. It's probably the only CD I own that doesn't have a single lame song on it. It's a shame you can't go to the record store and buy stuff like this.

That Rick did this entire project all by himself is amazing. I'm sure this CD represents many, many hours of effort, and equally sure Rick knows he isn't going to get rich from it. That's called passion.

Rick, congratulations on a fine piece of work. Can't wait to hear your next one.

"Passion" ?????????? I do this for the money. At the rate I'm going, I'll be even when I sell about 500,000.

Yeah, it's a passion. I love real country music. It's a shame that people are about to let it get away from us.

Thanks for all the compliments.

Thanks again guys. BTW: I played a show with Gordon Sharp on Friday night and he can not only make a Telecaster smoke, he can get some sweet licks and tone out of a steel guitar. I really enjoyed it.
